Reveille Group

Reveille Group & the Colorado River Foundation present:

Featured Event:
The Future of Central Texas Water Distribution

Speaker: Joe Beal, Former GM of the LCRA
When: Thursday, July 8th at 11:30 am
Where: The Four Seasons Hotel, 98 San Jacinto Blvd, Austin, TX 78701 (map)
Pay & RSVP: Online

Speaker Bio: Joe Beal served LCRA and the people of Texas with distinction. Under his direction, LCRA grew in its ability to help the people of Texas use their natural resources - their land, air and water - to improve their quality of life.

LCRA, a Texas conservation and reclamation district with $1 billion in revenues budgeted in fiscal year 2008, has more than 2,200 employees. Beal joined LCRA in 1995 to lead its Water Services division, which provides water resources management, flood protection, drought management, agricultural irrigation and water and wastewater utility services. During Beal's tenure there, LCRA greatly expanded the state's ability to bring renewable wind power from West Texas to markets such as Austin, Dallas and Houston by constructing hundreds of miles of transmission lines.

Before joining LCRA, Beal was senior vice president at Espey Huston & Associates, a large engineering and environmental consulting firm in Austin. Beal earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Texas Tech University in 1968, followed by a master's degree of business administration in municipal finance from The University of Texas at Austin.

About Reveille:
The Capital City A&M Club has played an integral role in the Austin community for over 100 years. With over 100 events hosted in 2009, the A&M club was excited to launch it’s dynamic professional platform in the Reveille Group. With two successful lunch events and a Maroon and White Wine Tasting thus far, we are excited to partner with the Colorado River Foundation for our July event. The focus of Reveille Group in Austin is to promote professional development and provide a potent networking forum for former students within the Austin professional community.

Programming:
A host of marquee speakers and potent networking events have redefined our professional programming in the Austin community in 2010. Speakers for our event series draw upon their experiential knowledge as they engage the audience in timely discussions that are relevant to their vocation. With previous events focused on the timely topics of Campaign Finance and Health Care Reform, we are looking forward to introduce you to the relevance of water. Beyond our lunch Speaker Series, Reveille Group hosts two other professional event series including an Executive Round Table, and a cocktail reception.
