For two summer semesters I worked in a professor's lab as an assistant to the post-doc. I was treated and given responsibilities much like a graduate student.
My experience covers in situ hybridizations, PCR, gel electrophoresis, restriction enzyme cutting, reverse transcription, and some chromatography. I am also extremely comfortable with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Access (in a class utilizing Excel and Access, I finished 1st out of 349 students).
I would like to find a laboratory position to continue using the practical applications of my degree, however, I am also interested in database management concerning scientific data. Science or computer work would fit me perfectly. |
