As a senior professional who provides bottom line, positive results, I have diverse experiences encompassing many areas, some of which I had little or no previous experience, education or background. Being very analytical and detail oriented, I am proficient in process analysis and problem resolution while managing multiple projects and tasks. Listed here are a few examples of the success organizations have had with me on the team.
* Generated AutoCAD layouts to rearrange over $5 million of metal fabrication machinery over 12 months to allocate space for new equipment to optimize manufacturability ahead of schedule to meet production deadlines. Established a time schedule to ensure sequential activities over a twelve month period were completed on time to avoid delays. Coordinated the activities of internal departments and external contractors to design and install cement foundations, surplus equipment, relocate machinery, and transport and install new equipment on schedule. Held regular meetings to discuss activities with all involved parties, to review any issues and resolve problems, and to update management on the status. Successfully managed the project so that all events were completed on schedule to support start-up and production deadlines.
* Reviewed assembly drawings to evaluate the manufacturability of electronic circuits Recommended alternative piece parts, materials, processes and packaging to improve cycle time and reduce defects of the automated assembly equipment. Based on historical data gathered over time, generated a preferred parts database for design engineers to utilize in the first and/or early design phases to improve the success of initial designs and equipment efficiency in order to expedite the releasing of parts to production.
* Created numerous Access queries and SQL code to simulate operations in different production areas to identify any equipment capacity constraints based on production demands. Ran simulations weekly based on changes in customer demands to continually watch for issues that could impact production. Analyzed documented test times, product yields and equipment efficiencies against actual historical data to check for accuracy to determine if constraints were genuine. Evaluated any alternate test platforms available for constrained equipment, and recommended balancing production demand with equipment available worldwide to resolve the constraints before the purchase of additional equipment was considered.
* Worked with Access database expert, wafer test and probe operators and managers to develop a database for operators to record data on equipment utilization. Modified the database as business priorities changed and the need for additional efficiency data was recognized. Routinely checked for data entry errors and corrected invalid entries to ensure accurate data. Developed automated reports to evaluate overall equipment efficiency for upper management in addition to generating custom reports as needed.
*Created Access queries to calculate equipment utilization and detail equipment downtime. Analyzed equipment downtime data to identify patterns and recommend solutions to improve cycle time and maximize equipment utilization. Combined onshore data with that from offshore operations to report worldwide equipment utilization to upper management for weekly discussions. Provided in-depth analysis of extensive data submitted from offshore operations to summarize downtime issues for upper management and identified discrepancies in reporting between different regions to ensure accurate comparison of data.
* Analyzed different procedures used to update part processing instructions to identify best practices used by some and areas for improvement. Worked with various departments to understand the system and manual requirements necessary to perform updates and solicited inputs to improve employee ownership of the process. Automated data generation and update where possible to improve accuracy, eliminate unnecessary steps, and standardize the process and documentation to reduce confusion caused by different formats. All changes reduced the cycle time by 45% which prevented production delays.
* Evaluated offshore operations to understand discrepancies and identify the proper sequence of activities necessary to correctly assemble and test parts. Modified the documentation to improve the accuracy and consistency of bill of materials and router flows by over 50%. Further analyzed the differences between onshore and offshore operations to develop and debug an automated system which generated the offshore bill of materials and router flows overnight. This reduced cycle time to generate paperwork from three weeks to less than twenty four hours which avoided production delays and defects due to incorrect or out-dated assembly flows. This also allowed offshore workers to focus more efforts on manufacturing issues since the documentation is generated by a computer program.
* Worked with computer engineering department to develop and debug an in-house program to automatically upload thousands of router tools associated to multiple part numbers at once from Excel spreadsheets instead of one part number at a time. Created rules which automatically check for missing tools or erroneous information to proactively eliminate errors and improve demand planning. The updated program reduced manual manipulation and approval of tools by over 200%, and in some cases, the time to move information into the production environment changed from hours to just minutes
All companies are constantly striving to improve results, exceed expectations, and dynamically out perform the competition. I understand the need to do more with less and have built my career on driving effective, efficient measurable results. I will make a difference for you and your organization. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to our conversation. |
